About
Us
Founded in 1979, the White Star Miss Soweto Pageant is a transformative platform that celebrates, uplifts, and empowers young women across Soweto.

Founded in 1979 by Ralph Zikalala and Leonard Sithole, the White Star Miss Soweto Pageant was born from a desire to challenge the limitations placed on young Black women during apartheid. Today, managed by Collin Sithole, it remains Soweto's most iconic platform for empowering the next generation of leaders, changemakers, and queens.
